NAS
Network Attached Storage (NAS) takes your raid array or Fibre device and provides access to it across a standard network using such protocols as SMB, or NFS. It is a server with a specific job, file serving. It does not offer any other services.
Here at Hard Data, we are excited to be working with AMCC and LSI in the advancement of the Linux Drivers for use in our NAS boxes.
